Medical Requirements

Travelers are often required to receive shots and medications before departing on a mission trip our of the United States.  Requirements vary from country to country.  Travelers are are asked to check with their local Health Department as well as personal physician before participating in a trip.


The most common shots required:

  • Yellow fever (effective approximately 10 years)  Required in most countries.
  • Tetanus
  • Typhoid
  • Viral Hepatitis A
  • Hepatitis B

Pills are required in some countries.
